API(Application Programming Interface)

Hi all, This is a blog about API(Application Programming Interface).

It is an software intermediary that allows two application to talk each other. It is easy to access the data from this and we can also share the data easily.APIs are all around us.it is a testing tool. API acts like an interface between a couple of applications and establishes a connection between them require an API whenever we access an application like checking news over the phone, Facebook, and so on.

There is no one without mobile in this world. So for example you are searching more and more in google and some other apps. The data that you search will move towards the server and the information is sent to your phone by the server. The application then interprets that data and presents you with the information you wanted in a readable way.

The term “API” has been generically used to describe connectivity interfaces to an application. However, over the years, the modern API has taken on some unique characteristics that have truly transformed the technology space. First, modern APIs adhere to specific standards (typically HTTP and REST), which enable APIs to be developer-friendly, self-described, easily accessible, and understood broadly.

Additionally, today, APIs are treated more like products than code. They are designed for consumption for specific audiences (e.g. mobile developers).

POSTMAN API

Accessibility- One can use it anywhere after installing Postman into the device by simply logging in to the account.

Use Collections-Postman allows users to build collections for their API-calls. Every set can create multiple requests and subfolders. It will help to organize the test suites.

Test development- To test checkpoints, verification of successful HTTP response status shall be added to every API- calls.

Automation Testing-Tests can be performed in several repetitions or iterations by using the Collection Runner or Newman, which saves time for repeated tests.

Creating Environments- The design of multiple environments results in less replication of tests as one can use the same collection but for a different setting.

Debugging- To effectively debug the tests, the postman console helps to track what data is being retrieved.

Collaboration- You can import or export collections and environments to enhance the sharing of files. You may also use a direct connection to share the collections.I had learnt all things from my college senior.we are coming accross many kind of error in our day to day life. We are going to see about the common error we get when we search on google or any other platform let we see the error types

1XX-request or information

It is the information that we search on any platforms like google or anything.

2XX-redirection

It will redirect us the information we want.

3XX-success

If we search anything it will gives us a result in first attempt.so, we call it has success.

4XX-client error

Client refers to the people who search or who wants to gather information about something. If we have not give the right information it will show us client error.

5XX-server error

If the server is not responding to our information we call it has server error.
